If you drive I-35 often, you know how loud the road can get inside your car, and a door that rattles over every bump only makes it worse. Sound deadener goes on the metal behind your interior panels and helps quiet a lot of that down.

Most cars come from the factory with only a thin layer of sound insulation.
As you drive, the sheet metal in your doors, floor, roof, and trunk vibrates,
and that vibration turns into the drone and hum you hear in the cabin.
Outside noise also comes through those same thin panels.
Auto sound deadener goes directly onto the metal to calm those vibrations.
It also adds another layer between you and the noise outside.
Along with cutting road and tire noise, it helps stop the buzzing
and rattling that comes from panels and trim.
You can treat just the areas that bother you most or have the whole vehicle done.
Not sure where to start?
Tell us what’s bothering you, and we’ll recommend
the areas that will make the most difference for your vehicle.
This is where most people notice the biggest change. Doors are large, thin panels with lots of open space inside, so they carry road noise and rattle easily. Treating them also gives your speakers a more solid base.
The floor sits closest to your tires and exhaust, so it carries much of the low road drone you hear at highway speeds.
The roof is one of the biggest flat panels on your vehicle. Treating it under the headliner helps cut down on wind noise and the drumming of rain.
Treating the trunk helps with tire noise from the back of the vehicle and with rattles if you have a subwoofer.
This is where we differ from an audio shop.
Repairing hail damage can mean removing your headliner, interior door panels,
or trim so we can reach the dents from behind.
Those are the same places sound deadener goes.
If your car is already in our shop for
hail repair or
large dent repair,
you can have sound deadener added while those panels are off.
That way, you don’t have to schedule a second appointment or have your car taken apart twice.
Just ask when you schedule your repair, or mention it to your technician during your free inspection.
Removing door panels, headliners, and trim without breaking clips or leaving new rattles behind is part of our everyday work. We take the same care putting your interior back together.
If you’re already having dents or hail damage repaired, you don’t need to drop your car off somewhere else and have it taken apart again.
We’ve served Central Texas drivers since 2008, with shops in San Marcos and New Braunfels.
Sound deadening makes a real difference, but it won’t make your car completely silent. We’ll talk through what you’re hoping to fix and give you a straight answer about what to expect.
You can stop by our San Marcos shop right off I-35, or call ahead to set up a time at our New Braunfels location, which is by appointment only. Already bringing your car in for hail or dent repair? Let us know you’d like sound deadening added when you schedule, and we’ll take care of both at once.
